OUr History
Building a Strong Foundation Since 1956
In 1956, Jack Bass purchased the undeveloped property at 82 Old Windsor Road in Bloomfield, CT, marking the beginning of Bass Plating’s expansion. Construction of the original facility took place between 1956 and 1957, establishing the infrastructure that would support decades of growth and innovation.
The Start of Operations and Expansion
Plating operations officially began at Bass Plating in June 1957, marking the start of a legacy in high-quality metal finishing. As the business grew, the property was later deeded to Bass Plating, securing its future as a trusted name in the industry.
In 1981-1982, an addition was constructed on the north side of the building, expanding the facility to support increased production capacity. In 1989, Mr. Rocco Mastrobattista purchased the business and property, ensuring continued growth and innovation for years to come.
Expanding Capabilities, Unwavering Commitment
Today, Bass Plating operates from a 45,000-square-foot facility equipped with 7 automated rack lines and 3 automated barrel lines, allowing for high-volume production and large-piece plating. Under the leadership of Peter Mastrobattista, the company remains committed to providing superior plating solutions with a focus on precision, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
